Blocklayer — Jefferson County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a blocklayer in Jefferson County, West Virginia. You will work on a commercial construction site. Your main tasks: • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser You should have: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks $19 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
