Immediate opening: we are hiring a laundry presser in Oxford County, Maine. The role involves spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots. You should have: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings $3,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
