Great opportunity: we are hiring a core maker in Polk County, Missouri. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. You should have: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts On a typical shift you will fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
