Great opportunity: we are hiring a fusing press operator in Bergen County, New Jersey. The job is in a garment export house. Your main tasks: • Give each garment a final press before packing • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press You should have: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
