Immediate opening: we are hiring a fettler in Mobbar, Borno State. You will be based at a brass and bronze foundry. The role involves shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges. What we are looking for: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
