Core maker wanted in Smith County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a core maker in Smith County, Texas. You will tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant. Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Pay around $26 per hour, based on your experience.
