Safety inspector — Clayton County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a safety inspector in Clayton County, Iowa. You will be based at a manufacturing plant. On the job you will handle: • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points Requirements: • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces 2+ years on the tools preferred.
