We are recruiting: we are hiring a cement mason in Madison County, Alabama. The job is at a ready-mix concrete plant. Day to day you will carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab; cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing; fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule; patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout; cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days. What we are looking for: • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
