Pipe tig welder • Hancock County, Iowa

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Hancock County, Iowa. You will be based in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. The role involves read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); carry out 6G pipe welds where required; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator. You should have: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Part-time with flexible hours.
