Bar bender and fixer — Orange County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Orange County, Virginia. You will be based on an infrastructure project such as a metro or flyover. The role involves: • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
