Sample machinist — Lauderdale County

Join our team: we are hiring a sample machinist in Lauderdale County, Alabama. Day-to-day duties: • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension Ideal candidate: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours. $4,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
