Milling machine operator — Mid and East Antrim

Now hiring: we are hiring a milling machine operator in Mid and East Antrim, Northern Ireland. You will work at a busy machine shop. What we are looking for: • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron Day to day you will mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production; keep in-process inspection records and log production counts; hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm; carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance. Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
