Immediate opening: we are hiring an ironing operator in Monroe County, Georgia. What we are looking for: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Day-to-day duties: • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents 6+ years on the tools preferred.
