Foundry worker • Jackson County, Michigan

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry worker in Jackson County, Michigan. You will be based at an aluminium die-casting plant. On a typical shift you will apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles. You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Basic grinding and fettling skills Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
