Now hiring: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Lake County, Minnesota. You will be based in a precision engineering workshop. You should have: • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Comfortable standing for long shifts and lifting up to 20 kg • Able to hold tolerances to ±0.01 mm Day-to-day duties: • Top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed • Check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet • Run first-off inspection and sign off the part • Run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles • Deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand • Load and index turning tools in the turret $230 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
