Immediate opening: tailor machinist (Imo State)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Ihitte/Uboma, Imo State. You will be based in a sampling and tailoring workshop. What we are looking for: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines Your main tasks: • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
