Shakeout operator • Caroline County, Virginia

Immediate opening: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Caroline County, Virginia. You will be based on the moulding line. The role involves cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities. You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Basic grinding and fettling skills 3+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $32 per hour, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
