Construction helper — Iroquois County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a construction helper in Iroquois County, Illinois. You will be based on a building construction site. Day-to-day duties: • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer • Backfill and ram down soil around the foundations • Set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction • Bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns • Fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns What we are looking for: • Prior experience as a labourer on building or civil sites • Willing to work outdoors in heat, dust and rain Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
