Immediate opening: stamping press operator (Illinois)

Now hiring: we are hiring a stamping press operator in Putnam County, Illinois. You will work in a forging and pressing unit. What we are looking for: • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses On a typical shift you will feed blanks into the die and remove formed parts; load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed; check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges; punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components; adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings; carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor. 3+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
