Shakeout operator • Taylor County, Iowa

Great opportunity: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Taylor County, Iowa. You will be based in the fettling and dressing shop. What we are looking for: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Day-to-day duties: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand Part-time with flexible hours.
