Foundry labourer wanted in Desha County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Desha County, Arkansas. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. Your main tasks: • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale You should have: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal 4+ years on the tools preferred.
