Commis chef wanted in Dutchess County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a commis chef in Dutchess County, New York. You will work in a hotel kitchen. Requirements: • Strong knife skills and speed on the line • 2+ years' experience as a cook in a busy kitchen On a typical shift you will check fryer oil and change it when it breaks down; prepare stocks, sauces and soups from scratch; follow standardised recipes and stick to portion sizes; cook dishes to order on the grill, fry and sauté stations. 5+ years on the tools preferred. $4,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
