Blocklayer wanted in Woodward County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a blocklayer in Woodward County, Oklahoma. You will be based on a scaffolded high-rise site. On a typical shift you will installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go. Requirements: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Full-time with occasional weekends.
