Brick and block layer — Pueblo County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Pueblo County, Colorado. You will work on a new-build development. On a typical shift you will brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
