Now hiring: we are hiring a dozer operator in Louisa County, Virginia. You will work at an open-cast mine. Your main tasks: • Backfill trenches and foundations once services are laid • Work to the dig plan and the banksman's signals • Strip topsoil and stockpile it for later reuse • Maintain haul roads and keep drainage falls clear • Spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction • Form embankments and batter slopes to the required angle You should have: • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and uneven terrain • Able to read grade stakes, drawings and site levels • Willing to work on remote sites and rotating rosters 5+ years on the tools preferred.
