Now hiring: we are hiring a backhoe loader operator in Clay County, Illinois. You will work on a busy construction site. What we are looking for: • Understanding of safe digging near underground services • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance Day to day you will top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects; excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels; level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines; work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals.
