Lathe operator — Hampshire

Join our team: we are hiring a lathe operator in Hampshire, England. The job is in a packaging factory. On a typical shift you will follow lockout-tagout before cleaning or clearing the machine; segregate finished parts into bins and label the batches; report breakdowns to the maintenance fitter; run the first-off piece and check it against the drawing; measure parts with vernier calliper, micrometer and go/no-go gauges; record output, scrap and downtime on the production sheet. Requirements: • Able to stand for long hours on the shop floor • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • Basic record-keeping and part-counting skills Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
