Now hiring: we are hiring a meat trimmer in Walsall, England. You will work at a halal meat counter. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required On the job you will handle: • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
