Urgent requirement: single needle operator (Virginia)

Join our team: we are hiring a single needle operator in City of Staunton, Virginia. You will work on an export house sewing floor. You will trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching. You should have: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $3,800 per month, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
