Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Madison County, Virginia. You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding On a typical shift you will pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand. At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift. Pay around $22 per hour, based on your experience. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
