Immediate opening: core maker (Kentucky)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a core maker in Cumberland County, Kentucky. You will work at a busy iron foundry. What we are looking for: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards On a typical shift you will assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture.
