Blocklayer — McHenry County

Join our team: we are hiring a blocklayer in McHenry County, Illinois. You will work on a busy housing site. Day to day you will spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools 3+ years on the tools preferred.
