Crane operator wanted in Dauphin County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a crane operator in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. You will be based in a warehouse fitted with overhead cranes. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • A good head for heights for tower crane work The role involves: • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
