Meat trimmer • Geauga County, Ohio

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a meat trimmer in Geauga County, Ohio. Day to day you will portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone. You should have: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • 2+ years experience working as a butcher Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $3,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
