You should have: • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio • Site safety induction or labour card an advantage The role involves pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator; clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour; carry bricks, cement bags and sand up to the masons on site; cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days; set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction. 5+ years on the tools preferred.
