Steel erection rigger — Pope County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Pope County, Illinois. Day-to-day duties: • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear You should have: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams 4+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. Pay around $5,200 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
