Immediate opening: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Macon County, Illinois. The job is in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. You will run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through. Ideal candidate: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Pay around $4,800 per month, based on your experience.
