Immediate opening: pressman (Illinois)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a pressman in Kendall County, Illinois. You will spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure. Ideal candidate: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work Full-time with occasional weekends.
