Now hiring: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Polk County, Oregon. The job is at a stainless steel fabrication shop. The role involves: • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding What we are looking for: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Own basic hand tools and PPE 3+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
