Urgent requirement: we are hiring a metal caster in Leon County, Florida. Day to day you will prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch. You should have: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling 3+ years on the tools preferred.
