Now hiring: shakeout operator (Louisiana)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Ouachita Parish, Louisiana. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. The role involves: • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings You should have: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
