Restoration bricklayer — Lawrence County

Now hiring: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Lawrence County, Mississippi. You will work at a renovation and extension job. Day-to-day duties: • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish What we are looking for: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Six days a week, one day off.
