Gantry crane operator • DeWitt County, Texas

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in DeWitt County, Texas. You will work at a shipbuilding yard. Day to day you will park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity. Ideal candidate: • Strong attention to safety and load limits • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
