Ladle pourer — Alleghany County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Alleghany County, North Carolina. The job is in the fettling and dressing shop. Your main tasks: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring What we are looking for: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling 1+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $4,600 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
