Toolroom milling operator — Oneida County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a toolroom milling operator in Oneida County, New York. The job is at a fabrication and machining plant. On a typical shift you will monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm; machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade 5+ years on the tools preferred.
