Sewing machine operator — Highland County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Highland County, Virginia. You will work in a sampling and tailoring workshop. The role involves: • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension You should have: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines Rotating shifts. $29 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
