Day to day you will apply die lubricant and keep the tooling clean; load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed; adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings; carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor; clear scrap and offcuts from the die area; fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting.
