Sand plant operator — O'Brien County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sand plant operator in O'Brien County, Iowa. On a typical shift you will maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale. Ideal candidate: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings $260 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Rotating shifts.
