Argon welder — Stanly County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welder in Stanly County, North Carolina. You will work in a pharmaceutical piping facility. On a typical shift you will set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions. Ideal candidate: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Part-time with flexible hours.
