Immediate opening: we are hiring a presser in Culberson County, Texas. You will work in a tailoring workshop. The role involves: • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Give each garment a final press before packing • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts Ideal candidate: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
